Newburgh Priory Art Retreats Christmas Edition
We are excited to welcome back for 2024 the Christmas edition of Newburgh Priory Art Retreats.
In this session, lead by Yorkshire based artist Sue Clayton, you will be exploring the wonderful, glittery world of gold metal leaf to use in your artistic Christmas creations.
You will learn how to apply the featherweight leaf to create two designs of Christmas cards. This technique you can extend to using on Christmas decorations too.
The day will run as follows:
10-1pm: Art tutoring
1-1.45pm: Hot lunch with wine
1.45- 4pm: Art tutoring
4.00pm: Tour of the house (optional)
Access to the grounds and Long Gallery throughout the day.
You’ll need to bring coloured card and watercolour paper with you, but we will provide all other materials needed.
Places are limited and booking in advance is essential.
